Microformatos: pequenas peças do puzzle - slides

This feels weird to write in English, since the talk was in lang="pt" but while I don't get around to getting a Portuguese blog up and running, this will have to do.

Earlier today I gave a training session at SAPO to try and spread the microformats love among the team. The goal was to give an introduction to microformats as a whole and also provide some technical information regarding the implementation of some the major formats.

Feel free to leave any feedback in the comments. Criticism is more than welcome, thanks.

  @Pedro: Nice, thanks for the link. I hadn't seen that one yet... They've actually been helping the community and this is not just a random tantrum.. they seem to be genuinely interested in finding solutions for this problem. There seems to be some (not pretty) alternatives, but I'm hopeful something good will come out of this, eventually.
  
  I tried to show that it's imperative for social networks (or simply social-enabled sites) to embrace these concepts. Funny enough, the day after I gave the presentation, I found that Ben Ward wrote an amazing article which sums up most of my examples. Definitely a must-read: Portable Social Networks, The Building Blocks Of A Social Web.

  The delay on my comment sort of reflects my lag behind on RSS consumption, nevertheless I wanted to leave you this thank you note for taking the hard part in evangelizing our team ;)
  
  I think the presentation was a great way to introduce techies and non-techies @ SAPO but now that you've published it here it will also allow for others to take the opportunity, understanding and starting using Microformats.
  
  It's a small step.. ;)

  Thank you for the kind words André. Glad you liked my little corner of the web. Like I said, it's a personal playing ground. hehe Great that you enjoyed the presentation... very interesting topics came up from discussing the audience. It's a pitty it didn't get recorded. :(
